Honduras.     Las autoridades de salud confirmaron la tarde del martes la muerte de la doctora Denisse Murillo en una de las salas de atención del hospital Leonardo Martínez de la ciudad de San pedro Sula, según el doctor Carlos Umaña la profesional de la salud murió por contagio de coronavirus.

El doctor hondureño, Carlos Umaña, confirmó en un programa de televisión   nacional sobre la muerte de laprimera doctora a causa del coronavirus, el 31 de marzo, en horas de la tarde, la profesional se encontraba hospitalizada en el hospital Leonardo Martínez.

Se trata dela doctora Denisse Murillo, en la zona norte del país, y se habría contaminado atendiendo a pacientes contagiados en un centro de asistencia medico de San Pedro Sula, donde lo hacia sin su equipo de protección debido a la falta de apoyo por parte del gobierno de Honduras.

Umaña indicó que la doctora tenía una enfermedad de base, pero era menor de 60 años. Además, comentó que cuando la doctora Murillo se contagió, lo hicieron dos ginecólogos más, los cuales están siendo atendidos y esperan se recuperen lo mas pronto posible para seguir apoyando la lucha contra la pandemia.

Según el presidente de la Asociación de médicos del Instituto Hondureño de Seguridad Social (IHSS), parte del contagioes debido a que no se cuenta con el equipo de bioseguridad adecuado, aun con un medico muerto el gobierno lo reacciona es lamentable la indiferencia de nuestras autoridades, dijo.

La galena hondureña, no estaba en mal estado de salud, pero su condición de obesidad y enfermedad base habrían provocado su pronta muerte, ya que las personas que padecen de otras enfermedades como ser diabetes, hipertensión y problemas respiratorios están mas expuestas, indico Umaña.

Por lo anterior, el médico solicita que se dote de equipo médico adecuado para poder combatir la pandemia. Esto indicaría que sería la muerte número 10 por coronavirus en Honduras y lastimosamente fue una de nuestras guerreras que trabajaba en la lucha de combate del coronavirus concluyo diciendo el médico.
