Honduras. www.loschuñas.com. El embajador de Honduras en Estados Unidos, Rafael Sierra, informó que en enero de 2021 iniciará los trámites para que los hondureños residentes en Estados Unidos obtengan su nueva tarjeta de identidad, dichos tramites serán en la embajada y algunos consulados.

El embajador de Honduras manifestó que para enero iniciaran los trámites para tramitar la nueva identidad para los hondureños que viven en Estados Unidos, ya se tiene el equipo para tramitar la identidad, dijo Rafael Sierra, en una entrevista a una emisora capitalina.

El diplomático hondureño comentó que la semana pasada tuvo una reunión con los comisionados del Registro Nacional de las Personas RNP, para comenzar los procesos de capacitación para el enrolamiento, lo cual se estará haciendo con hondureños radicados allá en el país del norte y también podrían viajar algunos de honduras.

Dijo que la mayoría de los hondureños en EEUU no tienen tarjeta de identidad, por lo que hizo el llamado para que todos se asistan a partir de enero a los lugares que se indicaran, para que puedan tramitar su nueva identidad.

Explicó que, con la nueva tarjeta de identidad, el connacional puede optar a pasaporte o matrícula consular que es aceptado en varios estados de EEUU. además, al regresar a Honduras le va servir para realizar cualquier trámite.

Además, añadió que la reunión que sostuvo con los comisionados del RNP, no tuvo respuesta concreta. “Lo que necesitamos es que cense el Registro Nacional de las Personas al ciudadano hondureño, para que pueda aparecer en el censo electoral y así pueda ejercer el sufragio si se instalan urnas en los Estados Unidos, dijo.

Mientras que el comisionado del RNP, Oscar Rivera, aclaró que la nueva tarjeta de identidad será factible de utilizar en el exterior, pero que dependerá de los estados de darle rango de validez.
