Las autoridades del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE) manifestaron a diferentes medios de comunicación tener todo listo para el próximo domingo 13 de septiembre realizar la convocatoria a las elecciones de 2021 pese a que el Congreso Nacional no apruebe la nueva Ley Electoral.
Gerardo Martínez, secretario del CNE, confirmó que la convocatoria para las elecciones está lista y se realizará bajo la normativa electoral actual, ya que el hecho que los diputados del Congreso Nacional, no hayan aprobado la nueva Ley Electoral no es un obstáculo para el llamado a elecciones, lo cual será el día 13 de septiembre como lo manda la ley, dijo el funcionario.
Ya tenemos lista la convocatoria y todo es con la Ley Electoral actual. Nosotros en ningún momento estamos convocando con la ley nueva porque en este momento no existe, no tiene nada que ver entre la vieja y la nueva ley para convocar. Las reglas del juego son claras, en este momento las reglas del juego son la de la Ley Electoral actual”, explicó Martínez.
De igual manera Kelvin Aguirre, concejal del CNE, reafirmó que esa institución respetará el cronograma electoral por lo que el domingo se oficializará el llamado a elecciones a efectuarse el 14 de marzo 2021, sin ningún tipo de modificaciones porque la ley se debe cumplir. Dijo.
“Hemos venido trabajando con base al cronograma electoral aprobado y de conformidad a la Ley Electoral vigente establece que se debe realizar una convocatoria seis meses antes de su realización… Hemos emitido y remitido al diario La Gaceta, y en base a la planificación se ha hecho las gestiones ante Conatel para realizar la cadena de radio y televisión el próximo domingo.
Se conoció que Rixi Moncada, quien dejará de ser la magistrada presidenta del CNE y en su cargo asumirá la representante del Partido Liberal Ana Paola Hall, no estará en la comparecencia de prensa debido a que había anunciado que bajo la actual Ley Electoral y sin un nuevo censo electoral no participará en la convocatoria a elecciones, lo cual para ella es validar un nuevo fraude electoral.
El próximo domingo 13 de septiembre a las 7:00 p.m. Kelvin Aguirre representante del Partido Nacional ante el CNE y Ana Paola Hall del Partido Liberal y quien asumirá por un año la presidencia de ese ente electoral realizarán la convocatoria oficial de las elecciones de 2021, donde se elegirán candidatos para las elecciones generales del mismo año.
