Tras una audiencia de declaración de imputado que duró cuatro horas, la Fiscalía Especial Contra el Crimen Organizado (FESCCO) logró se decretara la detención judicial del alcalde de Roatán, Jerry Dave Hynds Julio y tres personas más detenidas junto a él, a quienes esta mañana se les presentó requerimiento fiscal por el delito de tráfico de drogas agravado.
Los demás procesados son Efraín Rigoberto Santos Córdova, Francisco Federico Henríquez Gómez y Jorge Reiniery Rosales Bustillo, quienes fueron remitidos al centro penal de Morocelí, El Paraíso; mientras tanto el edil fue enviado por orden de un juez al Primer Batallón de Infantería.
La audiencia inicial en este caso se desarrollará el próximo jueves 2 de septiembre a las 10:00 de la mañana.
En esta acción, la Agencia Técnica de Investigación Criminal (ATIC) contabilizó al filo de las 6:30 de la tarde de ayer sábado la cantidad de 2,430 kilos de presunta cocaína como resultado de la incautación que el Ministerio Público ejecutó la tarde del antier viernes 27 de agosto en el insular municipio de Roatán, Islas de la Bahía.
En total fueron 98 fardos decomisados, dentro de los que había un promedio de 25 kilos de la supuesta droga en cada saco y se detectaron al menos 11 marcas distintas en los envoltorios de los paquetes.
Ayer en horas de la mañana, la ATIC con apoyo de la Fuerza Aérea de Honduras (FAH) trasladó hasta Tegucigalpa al alcalde de Roatán, Jerry Dave Hynds Julio y los demás procesados.
La remisión de las cuatro personas al Juzgado con Jurisdicción Nacional se cumplió hoy alrededor de las 11:30 de la mañana.
Agentes del Departamento Contra el Crimen Organizado y Técnicos en Procesamiento de la Escena del Crimen de la ATIC, tras la interceptación de la cisterna y dos vehículos más realizaron la inspección, es así que en el tanque para acarrear agua donde se transportaban como conductor Jorge Reiniery y su acompañante Francisco Federico, se encontraron los 98 sacos con la supuesta droga.
Mientras que, detrás de la cisterna iba el alcalde Jerry Hynds a bordo de un vehículo marca Toyota, Land Cruiser y Santos Córdova conducía una camioneta marca Toyota Prado, mismos que fueron inspeccionados por parte de la ATIC, concluyendo esta acción en horas de la madrugada de ayer sábado.
