Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán. En el centro penal de Siria, El Porvenir, Francisco Morazán, continuarán privados de libertad Tomás René Hernández Medina, Kenex Marlon Morales Colindres y Roberto Mauricio Sosa, luego que en audiencia inicial la Fiscalía Especial Contra el Crimen Organizado (FESCCO) obtuviera auto de formal procesamiento y prisión preventiva.
Los tres hombres enfrentan un proceso penal por el delito de tráfico drogas agravado, delito imputado cuando la Agencia Técnica de Investigación Criminal (ATIC) el sábado 19 de febrero les encontrara 222 kilos de cocaína ocultos en un compartimiento falso de un carro.
La operación de incautación se desarrolló en el municipio de Lamaní, Comayagua, zona central de Honduras, en un retén instalado por las autoridades y donde se requirieron a dos vehículos, uno marca Volkswagen, color blanco, tipo combi, con placa HCS 2881 y un Toyota Corolla, color azul, turismo, con registro HAI 6159, procedentes de la zona del sur del país y que tomó como ruta el Canal Seco.
La operación antidrogas fue coordinada por agentes del Departamento Contra el Crimen Organizado de la ATIC, quienes tuvieron acceso a la información del trasiego del cargamento del estupefaciente y gracias a ello se realizó la incautación.
Técnicos en Procesamiento de la Escena del Crimen de la ATIC, encontraron los 222 kilos del alucinógeno en un compartimiento falso de la combi que era conducido por Tomás René Hernández Medina, mientras tanto los otros dos imputados iban a bordo del carro turismo en labores de guía.
