En el lugar se incautaron dos viveros con cerca de 1,000 plántulas de supuesta coca en crecimiento y una instalación que funcionaba como narcolaboratorio para el procesamiento y fabricación de la pasta base de cocaína.
Vinculado con el cultivo ilícito, los agentes policiales realizaron un allanamiento de morada en las inmediaciones, donde se logró detener para efectos de investigación a una persona del sexo masculino, de 39 años de edad, a quien se le despojo de un fusil automático, tipo AK-47, considerado en el país como arma de guerra.
El detenido, junto a la evidencia, serán remitidos a la Fiscalía Regional del Bajo Aguán, para continuar con el proceso de investigación por el supuesto delito de tráfico de drogas en su modalidad de siembra y cultivo, y por tenencia ilegal de arma de uso prohibido.
En el primer trimestre del 2022, las operaciones antidrogas de la Policía Nacional han dejado como resultado, la ubicación y erradicación de predios sembrados con más de 300 mil arbustos de hoja de coca, así como, el desmantelamiento de viveros y narcolaboratorios, lo que representa golpes contundentes a las estructuras del crimen organizado que operan en el país trasegando con droga.
