El crimen se suscitó en la carretera que conduce de Siguatepeque hacia La Esperanza, Intibucá, a la altura del Kilometro 6.
El nombre de la víctima es Jesús Rodríguez, quien se encontraba en una pulpería cuando de repente fue atacado a tiros por un hombre, que después de cometer el crimen se fue por rumbo desconocido.
