Involucrados en asesinato líder indígena y coordinador de Libre permanecerán recluidos

Santa Cruz, Lempira. En una extensa audiencia inicial, la Fiscalía Especial de Etnias y Patrimonio Cultural obtuvo un auto de formal procesamiento y prisión preventiva en contra de Domingo Hernández Valentín, Adonay Hernández García, José Ovidio y José Osmín Muñoz Gómez, por el asesinato de Margarito Hernández Sánchez.

En la audiencia fiscales aportaron al menos 27 medios probatorios entre documentales, testificales y técnicos científicos, para lograr que los acusados permanezcan privados de libertad, en el caso de Adonay Hernández García y los hermanos Muñoz Gómez, también se le imputó el delito de tenencia ilegal de arma.

Hernández Sánchez era del subsecretario del Partido Libertad y Refundación (Libre) en el municipio de Santa Cruz y líder del Consejo Cívico de Organizaciones Populares e Indígenas de Honduras (COPINH).

La captura de los supuestos criminales se efectuó el pasado domingo 13 de febrero luego de la ejecución de 12 allanamientos de morada en el marco de la Operación “Tierra Fría”, en el municipio de Santa Cruz, Lempira, por parte de la Agencia Técnica de Investigación Criminal (ATIC).

De acuerdo a la investigación del Departamento de Delitos Contra la Vida de la ATIC, la víctima fue asesinado con arma de fuego y arma blanca el 5 de diciembre de 2021, por ello en la acción técnicos en Procesamiento de la Escena del Crimen de la ATIC levantaron información y elementos relacionados a este y otros casos ligados a muertes violentas de dirigentes populares y políticos ocurridas en los últimos meses.

En el caso de los hermanos José Ovidio y José Osmín Muñoz Gómez, quienes fueron capturados de forma infraganti por las armas, se les logró vincular al crimen por los dictámenes de extracción. Tomado de la Fuente del Ministerio Publico.
