La lluvia del pasado martes derribó parte del techo del viejo edificio

Santa Bárbara Honduras. www.loschuñas.com.  Antiguo edificio conocido como el Corredor de los Carrascos se sigue cayendo a pedazos, debido a las fuertes lluvias que han azotado los últimos días la ciudad de Santa Bárbara, lo cual lo deteriorado casi en su totalidad.  

La noche del martes se vino abajo otra parte del techo del Corredor los Carrascos, ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Santa Bárbara, este edificio es parte de la historia cultural de este departamento y de Honduras, este lugar albergó uno de los primeros hoteles del país. Además de fue Casa Presidencial y Congreso Itinerante de la República. dicho edificio fue consumido por las llamas el año pasado y desde entonces se sigue deteriorando.

El Corredor de Los Carrasco es una emblemática construcción de estilo
moderno colonial en el centro de La Ciudad de Santa Bárbara que data de los finales del siglo XVIII, es considerado monumento nacional, por ser de las primeras construcciones de la nación que aún persisten de grandes dimensiones ocupaba casi la totalidad de la manzana como un edificio con múltiples propósitos.

Días anteriores uno de los propietarios del edificio manifestó, que ya cuenta con los permisos respectivos y la empresa que va financiar y construir el nuevo local, el atraso lo ocasiono la pandemia, esperan que con la situación económica difícil que vive el país el inversionista no haya cambiado de opinión y para inicios del próximo año ya arranque el proyecto.
