De acuerdo a las diligencias practicadas por agentes del Departamento de Investigación de los Delitos en Contra de la Administración Pública de la ATIC, la red de falsificadores se dedican a imitar desde licencias de conducir hasta incapacidades médicas extendidas por el Instituto Hondureño de Seguridad Social (IHSS), con la confabulación de algún personal de las instituciones públicas, que también está bajo investigación.
Los beneficiados con estas incapacidades falsas eran empleados de las distintas empresas maquiladoras, que pagaban al sospechoso desde 600 a 800 lempiras por cada incapacidad falsa, con lo cual defraudó a la administración y la fe pública del Estado de Honduras, provocando un impacto económico en perjuicio de la empresa privada.
El equipo de técnicos en Procesamiento de la Escena del Crimen y de agentes de tribunales del Ministerio Público, encontraron aparatos sofisticados, computadoras y máquinas de impresión entre otros artículos que facilitan la comisión del delito.
Además, encontraron documentos, sellos y papelerías de algunas oficinas públicas en su mayoría del IHSS, donde figuran incapacidades médicas y hasta de traspasos. El operativo de la FETCCOP y la ATIC fue apoyado por la Policía Militar del Orden Público (PMOP).
En el interior de la vivienda, además se encontraron dos menores de edad de 14 y 16 años de edad respectivamente, uno de ellos de origen salvadoreño, vehículos y una serie de artículos que permitían a la estructura realizar sus fechorías.
