Esta madrugada llega el momento de la Superluna Rosa, aunque gran parte de los habitantes del planeta están paralizados y encerrados en sus casas debido al confinamiento obligatorio que han decretado los gobiernos por la crisis del coronavirus el universo sigue su curso.
Llega el momento de la primera luna llena de la primavera, que, en este caso, será superluna, además, será la más grande de 2020.La Superluna Rosa, que hereda este nombre de la flor del Flox subulata, también conocido como Flox musgoso, una planta silvestre originaria del este de Norteamérica cuya flor florece en primavera.
Será así la segunda gran luna llena de este 2020 según lo que recoge el calendario de superlunas de Richard Nolle, el astrónomo que acuñó este término que no tiene uso científico. Sin embargo, debido a que hubo debate ente los especialistas, si se debía considerar o no como superluna a la luna llena de febrero, algunos podrían considerar que la de esta noche será la tercera de 2020.
Sea como sea, la de este martes no será la última, pues la fase de luna llena volverá a coincidir con el astro en perigeo, es decir, en la situación más cercana a la Tierra de su órbita o en un lugar próximo a esta, el 17 de septiembre, el 16 de octubre y el 15 de noviembre de este mismo año.
En concreto, la superluna de este miércoles aumentará su brillo respecto a la situación del astro en apogeo hasta un 29% y su tamaño al observar desde la Tierra será de un 14% más de lo habitual tal y como se desprende de los datos ofrecidos por el Instituto de astrofísica de canaria IAC.
Así la superluna podrá observarse más grande y más brillante debido a que el satélite de la Tierra se acercará hasta los 357.935 kilómetros de esta. Eso sí, apreciar el cambio solo estará al alcance de los más experimentados en cielos nocturnos.
La de abril será un 14% más grande y un 29% más brillante que cuando hay una luna llena en apogeo. Según explican los científicos del IAC, en la situación más favorable, la superluna tendrá un diámetro de 4 minutos de arco mayor que la luna llena en el apogeo.
Es decir, que el incremento del diámetro angular de la Superluna Rosa solo será de una quinceava parte del tamaño angular del dedo meñique de un humano si se observa con el brazo extendido. Realmente es muy difícil distinguirlo a simple vista, añaden desde el IAC.
Aunque la luna llena de esta noche no se encontrará exactamente en el punto más cercano a la Tierra hasta las 4:36 horas de la madrugada del miércoles (hora española peninsular) las recomendaciones de los astrónomos indican que el mejor momento para disfrutarla desde casa es al atardecer, cuando la Luna esté saliendo por el horizonte.
Cómo inmortalizar con el móvil, si se quiere captar el paisaje, la mejor idea es hacer una fotografía cuando la Luna esté saliendo o se esté poniendo. Sin embargo, si quiere inmortalizarse a la Superluna Rosa junto a las estrellas, lo mejor será esperar hasta pasada una hora de su salida y hacerlo antes de que falte una hora para que salga el Sol, pues es el periodo en el que se podrá disfrutar de mayor oscuridad.
Para sacarle una foto a la Superluna Rosa, desde el teléfono móvil, desde el IAC desaconsejan utilizar modos automáticos. Lo mejor es ajustar manualmente la exposición de la fotografía y adaptarla a los requerimientos de cada entorno. Por ejemplo, en un entorno muy iluminado, como puede ser una ciudad, utilizando un smartphone convencional debería bastar con una configuración ISO 1600, exposición 2 segundos y apertura máxima. En cuanto al zoom, es elección propia utilizarlo o no, pues ayudará a obtener más detalle del astro, pero se perderá nitidez en el paisaje.
Este 2020 será un gran año para los apasionados de las lluvias de estrellas. Aunque todavía habrá orden de confinamiento, quien disponga de una azotea privada alejada de los focos de luz podrá disfrutar el próximo 22 de abril de las Liridas en su máximo esplendor.
Este año será excelente para la observación de las Líridas. Esto se debe a que su momento de máxima actividad llegará solo un día antes de la luna nueva, dejando un cielo lo suficientemente oscuro para su adecuada contemplación.
Aunque la lluvia de meteoros empezará el día 16 de abril y acabará el 25, el mejor momento para observar será a las 9:00 horas del día 22 de abril, por lo que la mejor noche para encontrar alguna estrella fugaz en el cielo será la noche de entre el 21 y el 22 de este mes.
