Tegucigalpa Honduras. Según las autoridades del Registro Nacional de las Personas RNP para el mes de marzo del año 2020 se estarán entregando las nuevas tarjetas de identidad a los primeros hondureños que realicen su trámite de identificación.

Para el mes de marzo 2020 a planificado el Registro Nacional de las Personas RNP entregar las primeras tarjetas de identidad a todos los ciudadanos que realicen los tramites en el mes de enero que empieza el trabajo de identificación a los hondureños.

El proyecto de la nueva cédula de identidad para los hondureños es impulsado y financiado por algunos países cooperantes, así como por organismos internacionales como el programa de las Naciones Unidas para el desarrollo.

Según datos que ya tiene en su poder el Registro Nacional de las Personas unos 6,600,000 hondureños obtendrán la nueva tarjeta de identidad para el próximo año, el documento se tramitara de forma gratuita para toda aquella persona con nacionalidad hondureña.

La nueva tarjeta de identidad tendrá un costo aproximado de 2 dólares cada una por lo que el total del proceso de identificación seria de 323 millones de lempiras, sin tomar en cuenta el costo del equipo utilizado para este proceso.

Según autoridades del Registro Nacional de las Personas RNP que encabeza el señor Rolando Katan comisionado presidente se pretende otorgar el documento a todos los hondureños, el obtener la cédula de identidad es un derecho de todo ciudadano en Honduras.

Con la emisión de la nueva tarjeta de identidad los partidos políticos esperan obtener resultados transparentes en las elecciones del año 2021 ya que según algunos líderes actualmente hay más de 400 mil personas fallecidas que aun aparecen en los patrones electorales.
