Santa Bárbara, Honduras. www.loschuñas.com. El pasado sábado inició la instalación del puente Bailey que permitirá restablecer la comunicación terrestre entre la ciudad de Santa Bárbara y el Níspero sobre el río Palaja, así lo informó el gobernador departamental Ángel Paz.
Según la información proporcionada por Ángel Paz, los encargados de la instalación son la Secretaría de Estado en los Despachos de Desarrollo Comunitario, Agua y Saneamiento SEDECOAS.
Según Paz se espera, que una vez que se habilite el paso beneficiará a siete municipios de Santa Bárbara y dos de Lempira, por donde salen más de 500 mil quintales de la cosecha de café y granos básicos. Además, que transitan varias rutas de buses por el sector.
En el departamento de Santa Bárbara varias comunidades se encuentran incomunicadas tras el paso de las tormentas tropicales Eta e Iota que en su paso por Honduras destruyó varios puentes.
Según el gobernador Ángel Paz, 12 puentes resultaron destruidos y dañados por las crecidas de los ríos, en los cuales ingenieros realizan estudios para determinar que tipo de trabajo se hará, mientras tanto se va trabajar en hacer pasos provisionales para habilitar estos pasos.
El funcionario manifestó que gestionara ante el gobierno central 2 puentes Bailey mas para el departamento de Santa Bárbara, mientras en el rio Aguagua se hará un vado con alcantarillas para que puedan circular los vehículos y peatones.
Ángel paz dejo ver su preocupación por los puentes destruidos en el rio Jicatuyo que comunica Los municipios de San José de Colinas, Nuevo Celilac y San Nicolás y el puente hamaca sobre el rio Ulúa en Chinda, puestos estos tienen mas de 100 metros de largo y no se pueden instalar puentes Bailey por lo ancho de los ríos.
