Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán. – Por medio de una labor de análisis y procesamiento de la información, la Dirección de Lucha Contra el Narcotráfico (DLCN) y miembros de la Fuerza de Tarea Xatruch de las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras (FFAA), erradican un plantío de 8 mil plantas de marihuana en un sector denominado “Vado Ancho” en Tocoa, Colón.
Luego de conducir tres horas en vehículo, más dos horas de caminata en la montaña, los detectives llegaron al sembradío en el lugar mencionado y descubrieron las 8 mil plantas de marihuana, que una vez seca y lista para su venta, equivalen aproximadamente a 200 libras del alucinógeno.
En el sitio se procedió a arrancar las plantas y en seguida a la quema de las mismas, así como el desmantelamiento de una champa que supuestamente se usa para el secado de la droga. Según los investigadores, el proceso de secado, por esta cantidad, lleva un proceso de uno a dos meses para su posterior distribución.
La especie encontrada en el lugar se le denomina Sativa, más conocida en el mundo del narcotráfico como “Carne Asada”. Las autoridades calculan que la droga estaba sembrada en aproximadamente una manzana de tierra.
