Honduras. www.loschuñas.com . Cesar Handal diputado del partido nacional por el departamento de Santa Bárbara, presentó este día un   proyecto de ley, para la construcción de centros de atención al adulto mayor, los cuales serían construidos en todos los municipios del país.

 Ley para la creación de centros de atención médica integral a la tercera edad, orientado a crear el Sistema Nacional de Atención Geriátrica, que consiste en una amplia y completa red de centros de asistencia médica integral para atención y tratamiento sanitario de personas de la tercera edad.

 El diputado César Handal, manifestó que el proyecto de ley, va encaminado a crear centros de atención para los adultos mayores del país, la idea es hacer estos centros en todos los municipios, pero, presupuestariamente eso no es posible en este momento, debido a la situación económica que atraviesa el país, que la mayoría de fondos se están utilizando para combatir la pandemia del COVID19.

La idea es ir haciendo los centros de atención al adulto por partes, una primera etapa podría ser las cabeceras departamentales, una segunda etapa los municipios y ciudades con más población y como una última etapa sería los 298 municipios del país, esto lo podríamos lograr en un tiempo de 6 años, dijo Handal.  

Con este proyecto vamos buscando dar atención médica a los ciudadanos de la tercera edad, de una manera separa de los demás pacientes que son atendidos en centros asistenciales y hospitales del país, ya que pueden contagiarse de una enfermedad, virus o bacterias, cuando van a estos solo por medicamentos para diabetes o toma de presión. Lo cual lo harían en estos lugares construidos para atenderlos exclusivamente a ellos.

Cesar Handal dijo que las personas adultas o ancianos están más expuestas al contagio en los hospitales públicos. Además, se está pensando que estos centros puedan brindarles terapias funcionales y ocupacionales, esto debido que los adultos mayores van perdiendo el interés a realizar actividades y la vida se vuelve más sedentaria y trae enfermedades para ellos.

Tengo claro que lo principal será la atención médica para ellos, pero podemos crear espacios que les ayuden a la diversión y estar bien psicológicamente, pero la idea principal es crear centros de atención geriátrica Y así poder atender de una forma separada a los ancianos.

La población hondureña ha visto el proyecto de ley con buenos ojos, mucha gente me a escrito y espero contar con el apoyo de todos los compañeros diputados para aprobar el proyecto de ley en las reuniones siguientes, el cual se empezaría a implementar el próximo año, el gobierno tiene fondos para este tipo de proyectos, dijo el diputado.

Seria algo muy importante para el país, pero más para nuestros adultos mayores, he presentado varios proyectos de ley orientados a esa línea, los cuales consisten en crearles mejores condiciones de vida a los hondureños que ya pasan de los 60 años, concluyó diciendo el diputado César Handal.
