Autoridades de Salud, Municipales y Policía Nacional cierran nuevamente la ciudad de Santa Bárbara, la medida es tomada para evitar el contagio masivo de la población de esta cabecera departamental, la cual es visitada por personas de todo el departamento y de otros como Lempira e Intibucá.
Desde muy temprano la Policía Municipal y la Policía Nacional, cerraron la ciudad de Santa Bárbara, ubicando conos y elementos policiales en las principales calles del casco urbano. Esto como una medida de prevención, ante el incremento acelerado de contagios de COVID-19, en el departamento.
La noche del miércoles 8 de julio SINAGER reportó en esta ciudad 4 casos más, situación que tiene preocupado a la población y autoridades de esta cabecera departamental. Por lo que de emergencia se reunieron las autoridades para tomar medidas ante esta situación.
Según el Doctor Benjamín López, director de la región de Salud de Santa Bárbara, se deben seguir tomando las medidas necesarias para evitar el contagio, lo más seguro es quedarnos en casa, yo sé que es difícil pedir eso a una familia que vive el día a día, pero la vida está primero, dijo López.
López recomendó a la población lavar las frutas y verduras con jabón y agua abundante, además de tenerlas por unas horas en agua con gotas de cloro, antes de consumirlas, ya que estas pueden ser una fuente de contagio del virus, la mayoría de estas frutas y verduras entran de la ciudad de San Pedro Sula, lugar que hay miles de personas contagiadas.
El galeno también manifestó que las maquilas están haciendo un buen trabajo de prevención, ya que hay médicos en ellas, se toma la temperatura y signos vitales constantemente para detectar las personas contagiadas, hay personas que por no perder el trabajo evaden puestos de control y toman acetaminofén para no presentar fiebre, dijo López.
La ciudad de Santa Bárbara permanecerá cerradas sus calles el tiempo necesario, mientras sigan en aumento los contagios, por lo que las autoridades correspondientes piden a la población de este departamento salir solo si es necesario y urgente ya que es la mejor forma de evitar el contagio.
