Comayagua, Honduras. www.loschuñas.com.  La Fiscalía Regional de Comayagua y la Agencia Técnica de Investigación Criminal ATIC, ejecutaron dos allanamientos en una localidad de Comayagua, conocida como Palmerola II, donde se efectuó la captura de un hombre y una mujer.

 Los capturados responden a los nombres de Vilma Azucena Canales y Benjamín Melgar Membreño, por suponerlos responsables del delito de trata de personas en su modalidad de explotación sexual en perjuicio de una menor de edad, que fue rescatada tras el operativo.

 Las averiguaciones de este caso determinan que, desde septiembre de 2020, Vilma Azucena deja a la menor víctima en la casa de Benjamín Melgar Membreño, incluso ahí duerme, todo esto a cambio de dinero que el imputado paga a la madre de la niña.

 El equipo fiscal y Agentes del Grupo de Investigación de los Delitos en Contra de la Libertad Sexual y Trata de Personas de la ATIC, una vez concluido el allanamiento trasladaron a los detenidos al Centro Integrado de Comayagua y en el caso de la menor de edad será evaluada por parte de expertos.
