Nació y creció en el municipio de San Pedro Zacapa el 28 de octubre de 1984, hija de José Iván Quintanilla de profesión topógrafo y Madalena Leiva ama de casa Xamiry Quintanilla joven profesional que incursiona como una cara nueva en la política en Honduras.
Su niñez fue de una niña muy inquieta y dedicada a sus estudios los cuales inicio en el jardín de niños Justiniano Tinoco, luego su primaria la realizo en la escuela Francisco Morazán, su ciclo común en el instituto Brígido Bardales de Zacapa, para luego trasladarse a la ciudad de San Pedro Sula donde estudio en el instituto INTAE obteniendo el título de bachiller en administración de empresas, en la universidad Autónoma de Honduras se graduó de licenciada en administración de empresas.
Ya finalizados sus estudios regreso a su natal Zacapa donde contrajo matrimonio con Glenn Turcios y hoy es madre de un niño de nombre Fernando José Turcios Quintanilla, su actual trabajo es como gerente de una empresa de productos de cosméticos.
Sus inicios en la política se dieron por primera vez cuando en el periodo pasado participo como vice alcalde acompañando al profesor Nery Hernández quien era el alcalde y candidato nuevamente a la alcaldía del municipio de San Pedro Zacapa, las cuales fueron ganadas por el candidato del partido Nacional.
Actualmente acompaña al actual diputado del partido libertad y Refundación Edgardo Casaña como su pre candidata a diputada suplente, y trabaja a su lado en la organización de colectivos y grupos de apoyo al igual que ya se organizan algunas planillas municipales en varios municipios del departamento.
Según Quintanilla su interés de participar y ganar como pre candidata a diputada es para poder apoyar a las mujeres del país, con leyes, fomentar la micro empresa y capacitarlas para que puedan emprender pequeños negocios y así poder salir adelante y desarrollar económicamente a las familias más pobres del país.
Mi trabajo me permito compartir con muchas mujeres y conocer las necesidades de estas, las madres solteras es un problema de país que debemos resolver y una forma de hacerlo es apoyándola, desarrollando microempresas y buscarles un mercado a sus productos, dijo.
Manifestó que en la mujer hondureña hay muchas destrezas y habilidades, pero desgraciadamente están en el abandono, no hay una política de estado para poderlas apoyar con capacitaciones, fondos a bajo intereses y buscar un mercado para que vendan sus productos.
Sin duda que mi compromiso será con toda la población hondureña pero aun mas con la del departamento de Santa Bárbara que estoy segura nos va apoyar primero en las elecciones primarias y luego en las generales y así poderles representar dignamente desde el congreso nacional concluyo diciendo la joven Xamiry Quintanilla.
