Honduras. www.loschuñas.com Luego de 11 años del golpe de Estado del 28 de junio de 2009 al entonces presidente Manuel Zelaya, Honduras sigue sumergida en la extrema pobreza y corrupción, lo cual ha llevado al país a convertirse en uno de los más pobres en América Latina y el mundo.
La crisis económica, política y social demuestra que los hondureños han dejado pasar once años sin ser capaces, gobernantes y gobernados, de poner a su país, con más del 60 % de pobres de sus casi 9,5 millones de habitantes y una precaria economía, en la ruta hacia el desarrollo.
El estancamiento del país en gran medida se debe, además, a que la mayoría de los gobernantes no han apostado lo suficiente en educación y salud, servicios que son precarios y que, de nuevo, han sido evidenciados en los casi cuatro meses de pandemia.
La clase política hondureña durante mucho tiempo también se aprovechó de la falta de educación de los pobladores, quienes durante más de un siglo han votado en su mayoría por los centenarios y conservadores partidos Nacional, en el poder, y Liberal.
Otro flagelo de vieja data en Honduras es una galopante corrupción, que en buena parte ha sido la causa de la pobreza. La corrupción, incluso ha salpicado al actual Gobierno, que preside Juan Orlando Hernández, en denuncias de organizaciones como el Consejo Nacional Anticorrupción CNA y de algunos periodistas independientes.
En el país no ha habido suficiente voluntad política para combatir la corrupción, lo que fue ratificado en enero al no ser renovado el acuerdo para la continuidad de la Misión de Apoyo Contra la Corrupción y la Impunidad en Honduras MACCIH, que dependía de la Organización de Estados Americanos OEA. Todo esto a causa del golpe de estado, con lo que se perdió la gobernabilidad y la independencia de poderes del estado.
Zelaya llegó al poder el 27 de enero de 2006 bajo la bandera del Partido Liberal, pero a raíz de su derrocamiento renunció a ese instituto político y luego de más de un año en el exilio regresó y pasó a ser coordinador general del partido Libertad y Refundación LIBRE, surgido después del golpe de Estado, que respaldaron las principales fuerzas políticas, los militares y la empresa privada.
El derrocamiento de Zelaya causó una gran división política y social entre golpistas y golpeados, que no logran reconciliarse. Esa división se suma a otros problemas graves como desempleo, pobreza, violencia, corrupción, inseguridad y la falta de credibilidad en la justicia hondureña.
Varios intentos de un diálogo nacional, después del golpe de Estado, incluso con la mediación internacional, han fracasado. Para agudizar la situación, la clase política, que crea problemas que después no resuelve, sumó otra crisis en noviembre de 2017 con la reelección, mediante un presunto fraude, de Juan Orlando Hernández en unos polémicos comicios porque la Constitución no permite eso bajo ninguna modalidad.
Esa segunda crisis tampoco ha sido superada. Por el contrario, agudizó la situación con una oposición encabezada por Manuel Zelaya promoviendo una insurrección popular, para sacar del poder a Hernández. En conclusión, varios analistas políticos nacionales e internacionales manifiestan que el país va dirigido en un rumbo equivocado y que las secuelas del golpe de estado están como el primer día.
